Just about everyone today knows someone whose life has been touched by autism. Autism poses incredible difficulties both for the child and their family. Being aware, and noticing the sign early is helpful for these children. Strong educational support with proper training and materials is essential to meet an autistic childs' developmental needs.
Since 1976, Avondale House has provided non-profit education and training for children and adults diagnosed with autism. Located in SW Houston near 610, they serve families from Magnolia to Galveston. They rely heavily on private donations to address the unique sensory and developmental needs of those they serve.
